The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus will be pulling up to the 2012 NAB Show in Las Vegas from April 15th - 19th, 2012. Over five days, the Lennon Bus will team up with sponsors Avid, Sony, Neutrik, NewTek, Todocast, Litepanels and Audio-Technica to give public tours, conduct interviews with notable attendees and host recording sessions with a lucky group of University of Las Vegas students assisting with production elements. The Bus will be located outside Central 5 Entrance, LVCC, and open for tours Monday and Wednesday from 9am to 6pm. Thursday from 9am to 2pm.
On April 17th at 5pm PST the Lennon Bus will premiere its new live stream show, @lennonbus with award winning filmmaker Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me). The stream can be found at www.lennonbus.org/live or it can be watched using the Official Mobile Roadie Lennon Bus App. The NewTek TriCaster 850 Extreme with the TriCaster 850 CS will provide live switching of 8 HD video sources, discreet recording of each source in addition to program output, live keying, and compression for real-time web streaming. TodoCast has partnered with the Lennon Bus to provide a roof-mounted satellite dish and high quality connectivity throughout the year. HD video cameras, the versatile XDCAM EX series as well as the robotically-controlled BRC-H700 interior units, and high-precision HD broadcast monitors continue to be provided by Sony and will be coupled with Audio-Technica microphones and Lite panels to ensure not only high quality video, but audio as well.
The Bus will also offer the opportunity for a broadcaster to win their community a visit from the state-of-the-art recording studio and HD production facility on wheels. Now in its 15th year of touring, the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus brings top of the line audio, video and broadcast technology to students across the country. The Bus is made up of two unique studios - The front studio of the Bus is a cutting-edge audio and video production room and the rear studio offers pro-level recording and mixing at the highest possible resolution, as well as an iso booth for acoustic recordings, and a Chromatte (green screen) booth. Featuring the full line ofAvid audio and video solutions, the studios, powered by Apple computers, utilize Gibson and Epiphone guitars, M-Audiokeyboards, Roland V-Drums, Neutrik connectors, and the latest Sony HD professional cameras. Also on board is an AvidP, a system enabling performances on the side of the Bus and new technology to enable live streaming. In addition to reaching over 225,000 students per year, the Bus has recorded top performing artists included the Black Eyed Peas, Justin Timberlake, and Natasha Bedingfield. |
