As India steps into her 65th Independence year on 15th August, Radio Mirchi, India's No. 1 radio station gets ready to treat its listeners with another innovative initiative – 'India ke Radio Postcards' . Through the pages of history we have read about the freedom fighters and their committed struggle all across India, their fierce dedication and unbridled love for their beloved country.
This independence day their tales of bravery will come alive through Radio Mirchi’s ‘India ke Radio Postcards’ endeavor that brings forth the freedom struggle that swept the diverse regions of India and united them under a single umbrella of devotion. Collaborating on this effort, various Mirchi stations from North, South, East and West recorded audio postcards and shared the freedom struggle from that particular state.
The audio postcards chronicle the iconic rebellions and movements of Dandi March in Gujarat, Sepoy Mutiny triggered by Mangal Pandey in Uttar Pradesh, “Simon Go Back” movement in Punjab, Chittagong movement in Bengal, Maulana Azad’s “Quit India” Movement in Delhi, the Revolution led by Swatantryaveer Savarkar in Maharashtra, Mailara Mahadevappa’s guerilla warfare in Karnataka and Veer Kunwar Singh’s Rebellion in Bihar. The anecdotes of India’s unyielding struggle for freedom will be played out on the airwaves by Radio Mirchi Mumbai.
Tune into Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM on 15th August and celebrate this Independence Day in the company of our fabled freedom fighters!
