In order to serve the clients in a more efficient manner, Infosys Technologies, a leading IT solutions firm, has opened its subsidiary in the Brazilian nation –“Infosys Tecnologia Do Brasil”. This new development centre will be serving Company’s clients Brazil and the Brazilian subsidiaries of its global customers.

Infosys Tecnologia Do Brasil is located in Belo Horizonte, the third largest metropolitan area in Brazil after Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, informed Infosys in a statement. The centre has been created with a mature IT services and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) ecosystem and established talent pipeline.

Infosys has been reaching its clientele in the Latin America with its two development centres in Mexico.

The expansion is also a part of the Company’s effort to leverage the near shore advantage of similar time zones for global clients, adds Infosys.

"Along with our centres in Mexico, our presence here will strengthen our ability to address both Spanish and Portuguese speaking markets in Latin America, driving our business growth in the region,” remarked Infosys CEO and MD S. Gopalkrishnan.

Puneet Gill has been appointed as the Head of the development centre at Brazil. Gill has been associated with Infosys since 2003 and has headed BPO operations in Mexico earlier.
