FinePixSL300 features a 14 megapixel CCD sensor with sensor-shift image stabilization, a 30x optical zoom with a focal range of 24-720mm, 720p HD video at 30fps, a bright 3 inch 460k dot LCD screen, faster start-up, improved auto-focus speed and an upgraded response time.

With a close-focus distance of 2cm, users can also capture precise close-up details whereas the normal macro mode can close in to around 7cm. The zoom lens offers smooth zooming and precise framing of scenes, and with the addition of a zoom lever on the barrel of the lens, photographers are able to zoom in and out without taking their hands away from the camera – guaranteeing that they'll never miss the desired shot.
